DONATE
“Fostering community through the joys of outdoor skating and recreation.”
The Winthrop Rink is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that relies on the generosity of donors to support its programs, operations, and capital improvements.
Donors like you make it possible for us to provide affordable programming for youth and adults. You also make it possible to accomplish large capital improvement projects, which at least one of which we’re working on all the time so the Winthrop Rink is always improving.
Are you able to support our work with a donation? It would mean the world to us. You can follow this link to make a tax-deductible donation.
If you are in a position to make a larger commitment, we would love to speak with you. Please contact our Fundraising chair at: admin@winthroprink.org.

Donor-Funded Efforts
Multi-Sport Court
In 2023-24, we raised the money to purchase and install a multi-sport court surface to optimize the Winthrop Rink’s concrete surface for dryland use in the Spring, Summer, and Fall.
Youth Programs
Over 600 Okanogan County youth skate at the rink and participate youth programming every year.
Joyful Jamboree
A jam-band and food-truck themed adult hockey tournament? Far-out, dude. The Joyful Jamboree was founded in 2022, and what a long strange trip it’s been ever since.
Vinyl Underlayment
Did you know ice rinks paint their ice white? We used to, too, but when it melted the paint residue got everywhere. So we raised money to purchase white vinyl under-layment, complete with cool graphics!
Phase 2 Construction
The 2015-16 campaign was a big one for the Winthrop Rink because it added a building extension for bigger Skate Shop and 4 locker rooms. Plus we installed a used ice refrigeration plant to “guarantee our ice.”
